Never Fail Sponge
Ingredients
4 eggs (separated)2 Tbsp boiling water
12Tbsp maize cornflour
175g sugar
2 Tbsp BAKELS GLUTEN FREE BAKING MIX
1½ tsp baking powder
Method
- Beat egg whites until stiff and add sugar dissolved in boiling water.
- Beat again until thick and all sugar grains are dissolved.
- Add egg yolks and mix well, add remaining dry ingredients and fold in slowly.
- Bake in 2 greased cake tins.
- Bake at 180°C for approximately 20 minutes.
