Chocolate and Strawberry Cobbler

A comforting and delicious winter treat, served warm.

Ingredients

500g Bakels Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix
120g Butter (Softened)
1 Egg
500g Fresh or Frozen Strawberries
50g Caster Sugar
3 Tablespoon Cornflour
50g Dark Chocolate Chips

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C bake and set aside a medium sized baking dish.
  2. Slice or add fresh or frozen strawberries to a bowl and mix through the chocolate chips, caster sugar and cornflour and then set aside.
  3. To make the cobbler topping, add the Bakels Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix into a bowl, along with the butter and egg, and mix together until a dough comes together.
  4. Pour out the strawberries into prepared baking dish, then crumble the cookie dough over top.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is baked and golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
