Artisan Pizza Bases

Use standard Gluten Free Artisan Bread recipe This will make 3 pizza bases.

600g (1 Pack) Bakels Gluten Free Artisan Bread Mix
540ml (540g) tepid water (25-30°C.)
14g (3 teaspoons) instant active yeast
30g vegetable oil


  1. After mixing, scale off dough pieces of approximately 380g.
  2. Shape dough pieces into round balls on a bench dusted with gluten free flour.
  3. With a rolling pin, roll the dough into round pizza base shapes, using Bakels Gluten Free Flour on the bench to prevent sticking.
  4. Place onto a lightly greased baking tray, cover with oiled cling-wrap and leave in warm place to double in thickness.
  5. Pre-heat oven to 210°C.
  6. Place the tray in the centre of the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until very light golden brown.
  7. This is lightly baked and will be finished with topping.

Note: These bases can be frozen for several months and thawed and topped when required
