Afghan Biscuits

Enjoyed by all Afghan biscuits are even better with a walnut on top. These gluten free biscuits will be enjoyed by all.

Ingredients

175g butter, softened
¼ cup GF cocoa powder
⅔ cup sugar
1½cups GF cornflakes
1½ cup BAKELS GLUTEN FREE BAKING MIX

Method

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Sift Bakels Gluten Free Health Baking Mix and cocoa powder and stir into mixture to form a dough.
  3. Add cornflakes by hand until just mixed through.
  4. Roll into balls of desired size and flatten slightly.
  5. Place on tray and bake at 180°C 12-15 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool on tray so Afghans can firm up. When cold, ice with chocolate icing and decorate with a walnut.
